Just came across this quote,
WOMEN WEAR MANGALSUTRA TO SHOW THAT THEY ARE MARRIED, MEN CARRY TUPPERWARE LUNCHBOXES INTO OFFICE TO SHOW THAT THEY ARE MARRIED......
Hahahaha......Isn't this funny.....I couldn't stop laughing after reading this...:)
Hello Jewellery lovers...
Today I'll be talking about the most important and sacred ornament of an Indian woman......yes you guessed it right.....THE MANGALSUTRA.....
The word Mangalsutra is derived from two words, mangal meaning auspicious and sutra meaning thread.
It is not just a thread but an emotional connect between two souls, the husband and wife. It is a sacred necklace that the groom ties around the bride's neck on the day of the wedding, thereby giving her the status of his wife and life mate. Thereafter, the wife wears it as a sign of their marriage, mutual love, understanding and faithful commitments to one another...
The Mangalsutra is worn by most married women across India. Each black bead in it is believed to have divine powers that protects the couple from the evil eye. Therefore for Indian women it is much more than just a fancy piece of jewellery, but a sacred symbol of love and marital happiness.
But in modern times, the concept of wearing a mangalsutra has changed visibly. Today, women choose their mangalsutras also keeping in mind the latest trends. They wish to wear something that is also fashionable.
So today I'll be discussing ways to choose a trendy as well as traditional mangalsutra for you....
